What this tool is actually telling you

The result is based only on the measurements and assumptions you enter. TheAIWardrobe deliberately separates body measurements from garment measurements. A size label such as S, M, 10, 34 or 75C is not treated as a universal physical measurement.

Use this as measurement-based guidance, not a guarantee of fit. Brand blocks, grading, fabric stretch, construction and personal preference can change the best size.

How to get a more useful result

  1. Measure the same landmark the chart or listing describes.
  2. Do not compare a body circumference directly with a flat garment width without converting one of them.
  3. Measure a garment you already own when possible; it is often a better fit reference than a generic letter size.
  4. For online purchases, compare the result with the retailer's current chart and product notes before ordering.

Why the answer can differ from the label

Clothing sizing is a designation system, while the finished garment includes design decisions such as ease, stretch, cut, lining, compression and intended silhouette. ISO 8559-2:2025 is built around body dimensions; it does not make every manufacturer's finished garment dimensions identical.

Sources and standards

When a tool depends on a current sizing or care reference, we link the primary source and record a verification date. We do not treat a draft standard as final guidance.
