Clothing size designation
ISO 8559-2:2025 is the current published edition and specifies primary and secondary dimensions for specified garment types to establish size designation based on body measurements. The previous 2017 edition has been withdrawn.
Footwear conversion
ISO 19407:2023 provides shoe-size conversion guidance across major systems and starts from foot length. ISO notes that the systems developed differently, so conversion is guidance rather than mathematical identity.
Textile care
ISO 3758:2023 is the current published care-labelling code. In the United States, the FTC Care Labeling Rule requires covered manufacturers and importers to provide complete regular-care instructions or relevant warnings and to have a reasonable basis for them.
Care-symbol licensing
GINETEX says the familiar five care symbols are protected trademarks in most countries and should not be reproduced without the appropriate licence. TheAIWardrobe therefore explains care instructions in text and does not redraw those protected symbol sets.
