Clothing size designation

ISO 8559-2:2025 is the current published edition. It specifies primary and secondary dimensions for specified garment types to establish size designation based on body dimensions; the previous 2017 edition is withdrawn.

Footwear conversion

ISO 19407:2023 provides shoe-size conversion tables across major systems and uses foot length as the logical starting point. Conversion remains a sizing reference rather than proof that different brands use identical lasts or internal dimensions.

Textile care

ISO 3758:2023 establishes a care-labelling system for textile articles. In the United States, the FTC Care Labeling Rule requires covered manufacturers and importers to provide regular-care instructions and warnings with a reasonable basis.

Care-symbol licensing
